Installation
Choose a download file according to your opperating system. Download the TextGridLab ZIP file to your harddisk. Unzip the file at any location. As portable software the TextGridLab will not modify your computer´s operating system; for example, it can also be started from a USB drive.
Run the executable file textgridlab or textgridlab.exe in the folder textgridlab.
Please make sure that Java is installed correctly on your machine and that at least version 1.5 is activated as the default version of Java in the system settings of your operating system.
Depending on your home institution, you may need to validate the security certificate used by TextGrid. Please choose, in a respective dialogue, "Accept permanently".

TextGrid Account
You will need to register for a TextGrid account in order to use all features of the TextGridLab. Scholars can use TextGrid to collaborate closely and share their research data. Therefore each request for an account will be manually verified in order to guarantee the authenticity of the user. You will normally receive an account within 1-2 working days.
