The Text-Image-Link Editor can be used to create links between a section of an image and a text (a transcription, annotation or note). This tool allows you to work with digitalised objects.

This tool consists of a Toolkit and three specific Views in addition to the generic Navigator View:

• Image View: shows the image or an image detail to be linked and enables you to select individual image segments
• Thumb View: is used for navigation. It displays a reduced version of the entire image and the active image detail (which is enlarged in the Image View) which can easily be moved and zoomed
• XML Editor: allows you to open or create texts as well as to select individual text elements
• Toolkit: provides different functions for working in the Image View
