The Dictionary Search Tool allows you to search in a number of different dictionaries within the TextGrid virtual research environment. The dictionary network “Wörterbuchnetz” (www.woerterbuchnetz.de) at the Competence Centre for Electronic Publishing and Information Retrieval in the Humanities at the University of Trier has been integrated into the interface for this purpose.

The Dictionary Search Tool is subdivided into three views: The Dictionary Search mask, the Dictionary Search Results view and the Dictionary Browser view.

• The Dictionary Search Mask: allows you to search for keywords (specific or general) and select one or more dictionaries
• The Dictionary Search Results View: displays a list of lemmata in which all search results returned by your selected dictionaries are listed
• The Dictionary Browser View: displays an abridged version of the dictionary entry. An unabridged display is optional
